Harvest Home

Greetings fellow mama's and rad ladies everywhere!

As many of you know I am a photographer and I specialize in Maternity, Newborn and Family Photography. When I tell you that I love my job, I want you to know that I mean it. I am so blessed to be able to do what I love and make a living. I don't take it for granted that I am one of the lucky ones.

I believe that every woman should be afforded the opportunity to document their pregnancy. Remember seeing the photos of your mom when she was pregnant with you? If not, what would you do to have just one?

I love my job and a big part of that is because I LOVE my clients. One of the best parts is that I get to watch the women that hire me as their maternity photographer become Mothers of toddlers and big kids. I get to see the babies that were once inside their belly become big sisters and big brothers. It is truly amazing. Time and time again I hear how much the babies that have now grown into big kids, love seeing those first photos I took of their Mom and Dad when they were still inside Mama's tummy. The albums I have created using the images from the newborn and maternity sessions have often become a part of cherished bedtime rituals. Kids love hearing the story of how they were born into this big, crazy world and having beautiful pictures that tell their story. From the bottom of my heart, I am truly honored to be the one to document their first chapter.

However, I often reflect on the fact that there are so many women who cannot afford my services. This is why I am donating my services to the women of Harvest Home. Harvest Home is a non-profit organization that serves pregnant, homeless women here in Venice. Harvest Home gives them a place to live during their pregnancy and for 3-6 months after they have their baby. They provide food, shelter, free counseling and offers guidance that will help women develop a long term plan for financial independence and stability.

When you choose me to be your photographer, you are also contributing to the Women of Harvest Home by keeping my small business alive. Please click the link to find out more or to donate!
